About This Salon
Just off the main thoroughfare in Herndon, Elite YUME Japanese Head Spa brings a slice of Tokyo's precision to Virginia. The salon's approach is rooted in Japan’s holistic philosophy of beauty and balance, blending scientific precision with sensory tranquility. Their treatments rely on the Takara Belmont YUME Spa System, a premium reclining bed designed for full-body comfort and total immersion. Based on feedback, clients appreciate the thorough scalp analysis and exfoliation process. The trained technicians use Milbon products, developed through decades of research and CT-scan scalp analysis. Sessions include a signature YUME waterfall rinse and shiatsu massage, with some treatments incorporating hand massage with warm paraffin or hot stone therapy. The salon's hours accommodate busy schedules, opening daily from morning until evening.

Booking Your Head Spa
Here are our tips to prepare for and fully enjoy your scalp treatment.
Book in Advance
Book 1 to 2 weeks in advance. Weekend slots sell out fast. And some scalp care specialists are in high demand, especially at reputable Japanese head spa salons.
Prepare for Your Visit
If you have concerns like itchy scalp, product buildup, or hair loss (alopecia), mention them when booking to customize your session.
Day of Your Session
Don't wash your hair the day of your appointment and arrive with brushed hair. Skip makeup as some treatments include a facial mask or kobido massage.
After Your Session
Enjoy a calm activity to extend the relaxing effects of your head massage. Note: blow-drying is usually not included. Allow extra time for long hair.
At-Home Care
Avoid washing your hair for 24-48 hours to let the treatment absorb. For a healthy scalp between sessions, ask your specialist which shampoo and hair care products to use at home.
Maintain Your Results
For lasting scalp health, consider regular treatments. Many clients book their next head spa before leaving to maintain their scalp care routine.
