Highlights
About This Salon
Down the street from the main thoroughfare, Elowen Head Spa occupies a serene corner of the Concept Salon space. The studio's calming atmosphere is often the first thing clients notice, with the sound of flowing water adding to the tranquility. Caroline, the licensed cosmetologist behind Elowen, brings a decade of haircare expertise to her Japanese head spa treatments. Her approach combines gentle, reassuring hands with meticulous attention to scalp health. The signature treatment begins with a deep cleansing followed by exfoliation and a calming massage designed to restore balance. Many clients report visible improvements in scalp condition, with before-and-after photos revealing reduced irritation and product buildup. A frequent observation: even those new to head spas find themselves completely at ease within minutes. The studio's clean environment and Caroline's welcoming demeanor contribute to the overall sense of comfort. Regular visitors often mention lasting benefits beyond relaxation, noting healthier scalps and reduced itchiness between sessions. Some clients have made these treatments a monthly ritual, finding them as therapeutic as they are indulgent. The space itself, though shared, feels like a separate world, a quiet retreat from the everyday.

Booking Your Head Spa
Here are our tips to prepare for and fully enjoy your scalp treatment.
Book in Advance
Book 1 to 2 weeks in advance. Weekend slots sell out fast. And some scalp care specialists are in high demand, especially at reputable Japanese head spa salons.
Prepare for Your Visit
If you have concerns like itchy scalp, product buildup, or hair loss (alopecia), mention them when booking to customize your session.
Day of Your Session
Don't wash your hair the day of your appointment and arrive with brushed hair. Skip makeup as some treatments include a facial mask or kobido massage.
After Your Session
Enjoy a calm activity to extend the relaxing effects of your head massage. Note: blow-drying is usually not included. Allow extra time for long hair.
At-Home Care
Avoid washing your hair for 24-48 hours to let the treatment absorb. For a healthy scalp between sessions, ask your specialist which shampoo and hair care products to use at home.
Maintain Your Results
For lasting scalp health, consider regular treatments. Many clients book their next head spa before leaving to maintain their scalp care routine.
