About This Salon
Open since 2021, Mon Amie Spa occupies a clean, stylish space on East 11th Street in Tulsa. The wheelchair-accessible salon offers a head spa service that begins with a detailed scalp analysis, followed by a herbal foot soak. Delicate movements characterize the dry head massage with essential oils, designed to relax and rejuvenate. A gentle scalp scrub and steam treatment aim to detoxify and refresh the scalp. The treatment continues with a mini facial and concludes with a hair therapy session to nourish the hair. One customer highlights the thoroughness of the scalp analysis, which identified issues they weren't aware of. Another mentions the lasting freshness and reduced oiliness for days afterward. The salon uses Eminence Organic Skincare products, known for their high quality.

Booking Your Head Spa
Here are our tips to prepare for and fully enjoy your scalp treatment.
Book in Advance
Book 1 to 2 weeks in advance. Weekend slots sell out fast. And some scalp care specialists are in high demand, especially at reputable Japanese head spa salons.
Prepare for Your Visit
If you have concerns like itchy scalp, product buildup, or hair loss (alopecia), mention them when booking to customize your session.
Day of Your Session
Don't wash your hair the day of your appointment and arrive with brushed hair. Skip makeup as some treatments include a facial mask or kobido massage.
After Your Session
Enjoy a calm activity to extend the relaxing effects of your head massage. Note: blow-drying is usually not included. Allow extra time for long hair.
At-Home Care
Avoid washing your hair for 24-48 hours to let the treatment absorb. For a healthy scalp between sessions, ask your specialist which shampoo and hair care products to use at home.
Maintain Your Results
For lasting scalp health, consider regular treatments. Many clients book their next head spa before leaving to maintain their scalp care routine.
