About This Salon
With its roots in Japanese wellness traditions, Sea Spa Sanctuary at Tropicana combines scalp care with aromatherapy and massage therapy. The salon occupies a 7,000 sq ft space in Atlantic City, inspired by the seaside surroundings. Treatments begin with halo water therapy, followed by a deep detoxifying cleanse and an intense scalp scrub. Longer sessions also include a face wash, hydrating face mask, and a tropical foot scrub. From the feedback, clients appreciate the scalp analysis and the confident yet tender movements during the massage. The salon is closed on Wednesdays but opens early on weekends. Accessible parking is available nearby.

Booking Your Head Spa
Here are our tips to prepare for and fully enjoy your scalp treatment.
Book in Advance
Book 1 to 2 weeks in advance. Weekend slots sell out fast. And some scalp care specialists are in high demand, especially at reputable Japanese head spa salons.
Prepare for Your Visit
If you have concerns like itchy scalp, product buildup, or hair loss (alopecia), mention them when booking to customize your session.
Day of Your Session
Don't wash your hair the day of your appointment and arrive with brushed hair. Skip makeup as some treatments include a facial mask or kobido massage.
After Your Session
Enjoy a calm activity to extend the relaxing effects of your head massage. Note: blow-drying is usually not included. Allow extra time for long hair.
At-Home Care
Avoid washing your hair for 24-48 hours to let the treatment absorb. For a healthy scalp between sessions, ask your specialist which shampoo and hair care products to use at home.
Maintain Your Results
For lasting scalp health, consider regular treatments. Many clients book their next head spa before leaving to maintain their scalp care routine.
