About This Salon
A few steps from the Annapolis waterfront, Your Body Needs offers head spa services in a space designed with accessibility in mind. The salon's extended hours cater to varied schedules, remaining open late throughout the week. Impressions consistently point to the thoughtful handling during treatments, which include steam therapy, exfoliation, light therapy, and reflexology. The ambiance is marked by a focus on natural elements, evident in their use of botanicals and essential oils. Sessions are tailored to individual needs, with particular attention given to scalp and skin conditions. The integration of jade stones in some treatments adds a distinctive touch, providing warmth and smoothness during massage. While the salon offers a range of facial and body treatments, its head spa services remain a notable feature for those seeking targeted care.

Booking Your Head Spa
Here are our tips to prepare for and fully enjoy your scalp treatment.
Book in Advance
Book 1 to 2 weeks in advance. Weekend slots sell out fast. And some scalp care specialists are in high demand, especially at reputable Japanese head spa salons.
Prepare for Your Visit
If you have concerns like itchy scalp, product buildup, or hair loss (alopecia), mention them when booking to customize your session.
Day of Your Session
Don't wash your hair the day of your appointment and arrive with brushed hair. Skip makeup as some treatments include a facial mask or kobido massage.
After Your Session
Enjoy a calm activity to extend the relaxing effects of your head massage. Note: blow-drying is usually not included. Allow extra time for long hair.
At-Home Care
Avoid washing your hair for 24-48 hours to let the treatment absorb. For a healthy scalp between sessions, ask your specialist which shampoo and hair care products to use at home.
Maintain Your Results
For lasting scalp health, consider regular treatments. Many clients book their next head spa before leaving to maintain their scalp care routine.
